Merry Christmas from all at The Ark!
We’ve hung up our stockings and made sure all our Christmas gifts are wrapped. It’s now time for us to lock up The Ark and head home for Christmas. The Ark’s doors will be reopening on Monday 4 January and we’ll be straight back to rehearsals for The Girl who Forgot to Sing Badly. You can book online over the Christmas holidays.

We’d like to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas and wonderful 2010. We have really appreciated your support in 2009 and hope to welcome you and your families back again in the New Year.

Festives wishes from all of us at The Ark.

Art in the Classroom competition winner!
The Ark was delighted to welcome Conor and his class from Naul National School who were the lucky winners of The Ark's Christmas Inklings competition in Art in the Classroom in the Irish Times.

Conor and his class joined Liz Smith at The Ark on Friday 18 December for a Christmas Inklings workshop where a range of beautiful pull-out and pop-up Christmas cards were created.

Congratulations Conor!

A little extra Christmas cheer this weekend...
Nico Brown and Martin Brunsden’s final performances of the wonderful Music at Christmas are this weekend – how the month has flown!

We’re delighted to welcome some special guests to The Ark this Saturday 19 December - female choir Diva Voces will be treating us to Christmas carols following each of Nico and Martin’s performances. The weekend promises to be a very festive finale for the Music at Christmas show.

Liz Powell’s choir will be singing in The Ark’s open reception area at 4pm and 6pm. Drop by this Saturday and sing along if you know the words!

P.S. The Ark will be closing on Tuesday 22 December but you still have time to call us on 01 6707788 if you would like to purchase gift vouchers in time for Christmas…

Artwork from the Christmas Inklings workshops
The workshop room has been a hive of activity over the last month, with Liz Smith's Christmas Inklings workshop in full swing since November 21st. Families and school groups have been having lots of fun creating pull-outs and pop-up cards.

Sometimes hands got a little messy....

.....but the results were wonderful!

Liz Smith also featured on RTE's Kazoo programme earlier this week - you can catch it here.

Meanwhile, Nico Brown and Martin Brunsden's 'Music at Christmas' is really getting all of us at The Ark in festive spirits. We've put up our Christmas tree and fairy lights in anticipation....
