The Ark celebrates Earth Day
Earth Day is designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment.

Enjoy the Earth – The Earth is our home. It is our playground for inspiration and creativity. Join us and many other people across the world in discovering your surroundings. Take nature walks and look at the trees, the flowers, the sky, the mountains, the buildings, and so much more. Explore, look around, take photos, draw pictures, read books and write stories about the world and the wondrous things you can find…

Let’s Get Creative - Have fun in your classroom or at home with your family by creating something together for Earth Day. Discover unique imaginative ways of making art when you reuse and recycle household everyday materials.

Some materials you might use:
Old greeting cards / coloured envelopes
Old cartons / cardboard boxes
Brown bags / wrapping paper / textured paper
Fabric swatches / ribbon
Button / beads
Craft glue
Marker / colouring pencils
Scissors
Glitter – for those magic final touches!
Or maybe you can find something else?

Make an Earth Day Wish Card!

Join The Ark staff in celebrating Earth Day! Create your very own Earth Day card, you can then write a wish or message to your world inside…

We're delighted to share some of the wonderful Earth Day Cards that were made by staff at The Ark today!
