An exhibition of eight artworks from The Ark's visual arts collection, Arkives, is on display for Culture Night on 19 September.

The Archives were built up in the period 1995-2001. This collection, initiated by Martin Drury, Founder Director of The Ark, was specifically commissioned for children, through the centre's visual arts exhibition programme.
Inspired by a commitment to excite children about art, and by the belief that we should invite professional artists to make work for and with children, The Ark's collection Arkives was born.
